Greetings
Welcome, golfers, to the 2011 season at the Wayne County Golf Course. It's an exciting time to be a part of the action at the course this year. Many changes are in store for the course, clubhouse and management. We would like to welcome all returning members, prospective new members and daily fee golfers to the course this season. We hope that you can find all that you need in the links above. If you have any comments or concerns, please direct them to the clubhouse at pro_shop@waynecountygolf.com.
Prospective Members
Whether you're new to the golf course, or a returning member, you're sure to enjoy your experience at Wayne Country Golf Course in 2011. The delightful course allows for an enjoyable round for the scratch golfer and novice alike. The challenging but fair layout takes the golfer around lakes, along wooded paths and through the wind whipped bumps of one of the areas most diverse courses. When you've finally made your way around the course and find yourself back at the clubhouse ready for the final hole, only the island green of the eighteenth stands between you and your final score. Returning Members
If you're returning to the course as a member this year, you're certain to find a variety of changes. The quality of the course improved dramaticaly last year thanks to the combined efforts of the Wayne County Golf Course staff, board and volunteers. An immense amount of volunteer labor was tapped to repair and maintain bunkers, clean up around the lakes and prepare for tournaments. The most notable improvements were made on the "new nine" where drain tile was installed and soil additives were used to make the soil more viable. After this mighty effort, more volunteers flocked to the course and applied bermuda stollens, leading to unprecendented growth on the fairways on holes five, six, seven and eight. These improvements have made for greater quality of play for our members and guests alike and we're glad we've had the support of course members and the community as we continue to improve our course. We hope to see all the members from 2010 returning to the course this year and making every effort to bring guests and potential new members whenever possible.
